STUDS

I am convinced that it is better for a breed, not to keep studs open for too long. Because of that my studs will be castrated after one or two 'matingseasons'. The more different studs you use, the more variety in the gene pool of our dutch birmans. A good thing for the health of our birmans in common, in my opinion!

In nature a stud is roaming miles around to serve the ladies. So it is against nature to keep them in a limited space as we breeders do, this is also an argument for me to neuter them after a short period of having kept a boy as a stud. There is also the problem, that when you keep a boy 'open' for too long, he will develop a certain behaviour, which makes it difficult to continue his life later on as a pet. And as I certainly want my boys to have a great retirement, I want to have them neutered before there is no turning back.

And here we have our man of the house. He is a big cuddler with a great soft character. He has a marvellous coat. He is a son of Int. ch. White Step's La Luna Topaze and Ch. Moreno de Saint Blanc.
