Welcome at the site of Cattery van de Meybas. On this site I'd like to introduce you to my birmans en announce news about them. I also like to share some information with you about health, breeding and birmans in common.

One does not always know what to think about a cattery. Well in my case it is just a common house with a family. The only difference is that there are more cats walking around here than in a moderate household;-)).

It is my purpose to breed healthy, cuddly and beautiful Birmans. That means that you have to carefully chose queens and studs for your breeding. You must keep a good eye on health, for example hereditary diseases, bloodlines, character and exterior. Breeding is a big challenge, because you can't influence wich genes will be passed on by stud and queen. So every litter again it is exiting about how it turns out this time.
